Gulfstream Announces New Manufacturing Facility

Gulfstream Aerospace has opened a new 142,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at its Savannah headquarters. The highlight of the event was the soon-to-be FAA-certified G700 luxury jet, expected to be delivered by the end of the year. The G700 features high-end materials like polished wood and diamond-stitched leather and is regarded as one of the most spacious in the industry, with a top speed of Mach 0.935. Among its early buyers is Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Additionally, Gulfstream is expanding with the G400, its first small jet in 20 years, aimed at smaller companies and high-wealth individuals. The company has invested over $150 million in production and service facilities, adding 1,600 jobs to the Savannah area. Gulfstream’s workforce development partnerships with local educational institutions further bolster the company’s expansion.
